Calcium's role in kidney stones
We explored the connections between calcium levels and kidney stones using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 2013 to 2018, along with more advanced genetic analyses. Our aim was to understand how the levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D, calcium, and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) might influence the risk of developing kidney stones.

While observational analyses suggested a relationship between ALP levels and kidney stones, we found that calcium levels did not display a significant association with kidney stones when looking at the data directly. However, utilizing Mendelian randomization analysis, we observed a potential causal link, indicating that elevated calcium levels could indeed raise the risk of developing kidney stones.

The key takeaway from our research is that while observational studies show no strong link between calcium and kidney stones, our genetic analysis implies that higher calcium may contribute to stone formation. Our work provides valuable insights and directions for future studies focused on preventing and treating this painful condition.

This is the best calcium form! As I have urolithiasis, my urologist advised that calcium should only be taken in this form. It’s the mildest and is absorbed quickly without leading to new stones. This calcium has been a lifesaver. I just wish it wasn’t so often out of stock.

Supports bone health
An excellent form of calcium! It is well-known that calcium is absorbed differently in various forms. Although this product isn't suitable for vegans, for those who eat meat, it is the best source of calcium for strengthening bones. This calcium will not settle in the kidneys or harm one's health; it goes directly to where it is needed. I take this product for myself and my children. The capsule is large, making it difficult for those under 3 to swallow, but fine for a 4-year-old. Smaller children could have the contents mixed into curd to enrich it with calcium. I've found no better formula among children's calcium.

Natural absorption
The best calcium I have ever bought, it is absorbed well by the body as it is natural. Our body perceives it as its own material for building bones, teeth, and cartilage. I would 100% recommend this to everyone who wants high-quality calcium that will not lead to kidney stones.

Improved health significantly

I struggled to assimilate other calcium forms, but this one has made a noticeable difference. My nails have grown better, and the oily sheen on my skin has lessened, contributing to an overall improvement in my health. Although excess calcium poses the risk of urolithiasis, this gentle form poses minimal negative aspects. I am thrilled with the results and wish you well too.

Ideal for osteoporosis
44 people found this helpful
I am ecstatic to have found this easily absorbed calcium form, which isn't commonly available in stores. With osteoporosis, I require a product that won’t block my kidneys like calcium carbonate does. Just be cautious and avoid taking it with certain other supplements. I find it essential to take calcium during the morning and midday to optimise absorbency.

Improves health
The advantage of this calcium form is that it does not lead to the formation of kidney stones. I have recently started taking it and from initial experiences, my condition is improving. I had significant calcium deficiency after pregnancy, and I chose this option based on recommendation. I can’t discern any taste as I swallow it quickly.

High digestibility
This form closely matches the calcium structures in our bones. It is absorbed well at any gastric acidity and imposes minimal strain on the kidneys, thereby lowering the risk of kidney stones. Hydroxyapatite is overall gentler on the body and has excellent digestibility. I find it’s also convenient to take in capsule form. Highly recommend it.

I simply could not absorb other calcium forms! My nails are growing, and the oily sheen on my skin has greatly reduced. Overall, my health has improved. I know too much calcium can lead to urolithiasis, but this calcium form is gentle on the kidneys, minimising negative effects. There are no contraindications or side effects. I am satisfied and wish you strong teeth, nails, and hugs. Please like this review. Thank you.

Kidney-friendly supplement

I’m pleased to find this product on Herb, which is easy to digest and not often available in health stores. Struggling with osteoporosis, I needed a supplement that wouldn’t burden my kidneys like calcium carbonate. Ensure it’s not taken alongside multivitamins with iron, vitamin D, iron, or strontium. It's best to consume it in the morning and afternoon.

Cost-effective choice
An excellent form of calcium at a reasonable price with numerous advantages. First, this form mirrors the calcium structures found in our bones. Secondly, it absorbs well in any gastric acidity and exerts minimal stress on the kidneys, thus lowering the risk of kidney stones. Overall, hydroxyapatite is gentler on the body with a high absorption rate.

The best form for calcium absorption! It does not lead to deposition by kidney stones or sand. I take 2 capsules daily.

High absorption rate

One of the few calcium supplements that includes phosphorus! Calcium in hydroxyapatite form is highly accessible for the body, absorbed by almost 100%, and does not deposit in the kidneys. If calcium is lacking, the indicated dosage may not suffice, needing around 4-6 capsules daily. It’s beneficial to add vitamins and trace elements alongside.
